From where it all Began.
In 2020, Sanford Michigan suffered a Catastrophe when the Edenville Dam, suffered an undershot failure, causing 10 miles of water from Wixom lake to flow into Sanford Lake, resulting in the breach of the Sanford Dam. The devastation resulted in over 3,000 homes and business’s suffering loss. This was for the most part under reported due to the ongoing pandemic that was underway.
To the Pathway placed before us.
Pyr Logistics was formed in 2022 to support the identified needs for support during catastrophes, more specifically to help the Tree Companies and injured home owners, during disasters. We wanted to help home owners be able to find and get professional help in time of disasters that would not negate their potential insurance claims. This has turned into Pyr Logistics Support now being a company that retains Multi State Insurance Adjusting licenses, Insured and Bonded. To help Tree Companies as well as Home Owners and Insurance Carriers, navigate the often confusing pathways through Insurance Policy and Language to help homeowners get the indemnification their polices promise. While also ensuring that professional companies are the ones performing these services on their behalf.
We now educate home owners, tree companies and insurance adjusters on the specifics with Tree Mitigation as it pertains to Insurance. Serving as Expert Witness in court cases, assisting Tree Companies in getting paid for their services, and assisting Insurance Carriers with comparative estimates from real tree companies who carry the required insurances to ensure the policyholder and the carrier are both protected in case of an accident on the job site.

Pyr Logistics Support, has a passion to bring further education as it pertains to Tree Mitigation Issues, to the Insurance Industry, Tree Care Industry, and the truth about insurance and policy to the public. Most people have no idea what to do when disaster strikes. They are, like my community was, under the impression that when disaster strikes, we live in the United States, and our Government will be here to help us. That we pay premiums to Insurance Companies and when things happen the Insurance Carriers will have our backs to make sure we are taken care of.
The truth of this is? The Government will only respond to prevent chaos and protest, they do almost nothing about the looting which they claim is the responsibility of the law enforcement. The law enforcement is inundated with the disaster and not only is it logistically not feasible. There may not even be communications to get support that is needed. The Insurance Companies are business’s who make profits by limiting what they pay out. The cold hard truth is, “When Disaster Strikes you, you better be able to fend for yourself and know who you can trust.”
